Testing is a craft not a simple skill that can be easily transferred. We therefore do not view testing as proof that something works once the testing activities have been completed. Testing is comparable to investigative journalism; it is not a guarantee of quality. Testers do not prove that a product “works”; they investigate potential threats to its value.
